{Happy 32 Josh!!}

Yesterday, Josh celebrated his 32nd birthday. Me and my sister decided that Josh needed a fancy cake, so we spent all day making this for my pepsi-holic husband:

It turns out those fancy fondant cakes are pretty hard to make. I now have a lot more respect for those professional bakers now. It may not have turned out how we wanted it but we sure had fun trying!

{River Trip}

We applied for a permit to raft the Salmon River earlier this year and were unsuccessful. Luckily, someone else turned their permit back and our friends were able to get it. We threw together a trip very quickly and are so glad because we had so much fun.....the only downfall was that Kyler was too young and had to stay behind. We missed him a ton, but enjoyed our much needed vacation. I took way too many pictures, so to save the boredom here are just a few of my favorites.

Kelsie fishing. She looks like a natural doesn't she?

The beautiful clouds on our last night on the river.

I never realized how many cabins, and other historical sites lay along the Salmon River. It was neat to hear all of the stories and history associated with the area.
Buckskin Bill's lookout tower and cabin

Kelsie got burried standing up in the sand and was digging herself out....

Both buried in the sand.

The girls helping Josh oar the boat.

Good-bye River of no Return!!! We will definitely return!!

{Our Family Trip}

Josh's sister got married this weekend and we took all of the kids to Lagoon the next day. We all had a lot of fun witht the kids and they didn't want to leave. Kyler and I went to all of the kiddie rides while Kelsie went with her older cousins and rode all of the big rides that even her mother was afraid of. She did convince me to ride with her on Wicked. This roller coaster shoots you up this tower and then back down in just a couple of seconds. It was quite the ride, to say the least! I think that Kesie rode just about every ride that she could.

Kyler's aunt Heidi spoiled him with a sucker because he couldn't ride as many rides as everyone else. He made quite a mess...

I was the designated photographer on this ride, because Kyler couldn't ride and I wore a white tshirt that I really didn't want to get it wet.....

While Kelsie was with her older cousins Josh and I took Kam and Kyler to the fountains to cool off. Kamrin really had a lot of fun and was totally soaked when she was done!

We took the younger kids on the train around th park to see the animals. Kyler waved at all the people that we passed the whole time. He really liked the train and the animals.

{Our New Friend!}

For some reason birds love to make nests above our front porch.....this is just the newest one. The girls love to listen to see when the new birds hatch from their eggs.

For fathers day the girls and I made Josh a candy dish for his office...he has quite the sweet tooth and the girls were so excited to make it and fill it up for him.

We also decided to make him a framed picture...it was super easy to make. We just took paper and cut out letters, took black and white photo's and photoshopped the letters whatever colors the girls wanted.
The hard part was getting Kyler to cooperate. He did though and we were able to finish our project!!
